Meet Harriet, the creator behind @life.with.madison.evie. She shares snippets of everyday life with her daughter Madison Evie (her fun-loving five-year-old) who definitely keeps things lively.
Harriet began documenting their journey online as a single mum and quickly found a supportive community along the way. Her page is a warm and honest look at motherhood, family life, and the little moments that make it special. 💛

Meet our PlayFaire Creator
My names Harriet, mummy to Madison Evie, my little 5 year old diva. I started sharing my life online as I became a single mummy and I wanted to find other people going through similar & to find myself a little support network.
I found more than that, and have made friendships with people online that I have never met in person.
What’s something about parenting you wish someone had told you sooner?
I wish someone would have told me just how precious time is. It really does fly by & I wish I knew this earlier on. Especially when Madison was a little baby.

What does a realistic, lived-in day look like for your family right now?
Our days are pretty crazy! Madison had a great social life. Monday - Friday she had school (which she loves) and then 3 of those days she has activities afterwards. The weekends are very similar, lots of activities. But we do love our Sundays, which we have as our playing at home day!
Is there a PlayFaire toy or collection that’s been a real staple in your home? What makes it so loved?
We absolutely love the Connetixmagnetic tiles from PlayFaire. These are used daily! Without fail! We just love an open ended toy. Madison also absolutely adores the zoo family collection as well.

Are there any routines or rituals that bring a sense of calm to your family days?
Madison loves a routine, so we try and stick to one as much as possible. We love down time as well as getting out and keeping busy!
What would you say to a parent who’s feeling overwhelmed right now?
To any parents feeling overwhelmed, it doesn’t last forever, and they will soon be grown up and you will miss those times of what we thought was hard and stressful. Don’t rush, don’t stress, just enjoy them whilst they are little.
What moments do you hope your children will remember from this stage of their childhood?
I hope Madison remembers how hard I worked, to give her the best life I could give her. The days out and days at home. The small things. The times we’ve just played and laughed. The spontaneous days out.
